Hey all, ive currently got a sony cdx_gt110(2006) in my suburban. The aux doesnt work any more and it doesnt play out the rear left speaker so i want a new one. Ive got the harness hardwired into the truck so i dont want to change harnesses so i was wondering if any of you know if all sony 16 pin connectors are the same. My factory radio malfunctioned recently and I decided to replace it with an aftermarket stereo I had used in a previous vehicle. I am putting a [Sony - CDXGT250MP](https://www.amazon.com/Sony-CDXGT250MP-Receiver-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B0042X96HE) in and my dad and I are having wiring issues: the wire diagrams online dont seem to match the coloring of the wires from the Impala and have more wires from that end than we do on the harness that came with the Sony. We got it partialy hooked up...
Sony wiring harness diagram. I'm looking for a clear and simple wiring diagram for both downstream sensors, with color codes and pin outs. Can't seem to find a good print online for my truck. I have the pigtails that must be spliced into the oxygen connector on the main harness..just want to make sure I get the 4 wires connected properly. **EDIT: Fixed the problem by ditching the Maestro and just directly wiring Pins 21-23 to the remote aux port using a 3-pole 3.5mm male audio cable I bought on Amazon. Just had to program the controls in the radio itself, but everything works now.** (TLDR: Steering wheel controls don't work with iDatalink Maestro SW Adapter, and IDK why) Hello everyone, I need your help figuring out what's going on with my install process. Its a long post, sorry, but I wanted to include as much useful informati... So I ordered and installed a Sony XAV-AX1000 from Crutchfield using their harness. Their wiring diagram for steering wheel controls is wrong (wire colors don't match and doesn't work when connected anyway), and customer service tried but couldn't help. I have a '12 P4X and am replacing the stock RF unit. Anyone been through this and know which pins on which connector are for the steering wheel controls? Hello, I recently put a Sony XAV-AX5000 head unit in my 2012 Civic EX-L and so far it rules, except it currently can't dim the display when the headlights are on. The head unit has an input for a 12V illumination signal indicating whether the headlights are on but the factory wiring harness in the car doesn't have that wire. The phone support guy at Crutchfield suggested adding an external switch controlling a 12V signal that could turn the dim on/off, which would work (though it is the extr...
Hey everyone I’m trying to hook up subs to my car but I’ve run into a problem with the wiring harness. Every single diagram mentions a white and orange wire for the right side speakers but I don’t have a white and orange. None of the 10+ diagrams I’ve looked at is even close to the colors of my wiring. I can’t find a diagram that actually contains all the colors of wire I have on it. My car doesn’t have rear deck speakers so I have no wiring back there all I have are tweeters and 4 door speakers... I’ve purchased the Metra double DIN bezel/mount and a supposedly correct Metra [wiring harness](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002BF0DE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I’m a complete noob at car audio installation and want a little guidance or confrontation on modernizing to a Pioneer/Sony/Alpine mid-budget Apple CarPlay capable head unit. I recently bought a AUX IN “plug and play” adapter that replaces CD changer and realized my hea... Hello everyone, I'm new to this subreddit so please excuse my ignorance with this question... I recently was given a new Sony XAV-AX1000 stereo for my 2008 Chrysler 300 LX 3.5L V6. I'm trying to find the appropriate wiring harness to fit my car but I'm having some trouble. There are tons of forums with conflicting information. I believe I have a 6 speaker setup with three speakers on the dash, two on both front doors and my buddy mentioned I might have one underneath either the driver or passe... I have a 2010 KIA Soul (!) w/ factory SUB & AMP. All the speakers sound blown when I purchased the car last month. I replaced the head unit, no change. I then moved to the AMP. Pulled out the factory AMP and installed aftermarket AMP. No sound. I bought the Metra 70-7305 AMP bypass harness and it did not fit. I am not trying to "daisy-chain" the factory wiring in the rear but the AMP wiring diagrams I have do not match the AMP. Pin 14 & 1 are supposed to be speakers and when I put the mu... UPDATE: I think I found out the issue. It appears that I utilized a wire patch part of the kit that is required for the solution with a factory amplifier. The wire patch part looks to have resistors inline in it. I will call crutchfield and verify I am to cut the ends off the harness and attach as the maestro diagram clearly shows. I installed a crutchfield purchased Sony XAV-AX5500 with the required maestro adapters for steering control and connectivity. The audio coming though the speake... I’m installing a Sony XAV-AX5600 in a 2015 Scion XB. I’m using the Crux SWRTY-61N to maintain my factory backup camera and steering wheel controls. I got it all wired and installed and everything works great except when I tested the backup camera. As soon as I put the car in reverse the the screen switch to the camera but the feed was cutting in and out and I noticed smoke coming from a small circuit board that is heat shrinked in the camera harness. As soon as I put the car in park it stopped...
Alright so here's my issue, I bought a Sony xav-ax1000 stereo from amazon to put it in my 2011 Jeep Liberty (Yes it fits I used crutch field to make sure) and I did not get a wire harness and none of my local shops sell them for a decent price so I refused to spend 80 dollars on a wiring harness and that may have caused me some trouble. So I went to go and start splicing the cables and I had a pretty good start. I have a wiring diagram and i've been following that up until the point where I have...

The only thread I found for my car was [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/CarAV/comments/3pf9k2/2005_mercury_mariner_stereo_upgrade/), and it's not quite what I need.
